This workshop is designed for “new face painters” but not advanced face painters (definition below)
Ideally you will have completed our online Crash Course for Beginners or something similar. It’s ok if you’re self-taught eg. having practiced at home for at least 10 hours, learning via YouTube or another process
This workshop isn’t designed for complete beginners with zero experience
-
By our definition, a “new face painter” is someone who has at least some experience as a hobby face painter, or a volunteer.
Maybe you have completed our online Crash Course, and you want to start a business?
A new face painter can also be a professional face painter who has less than 100 hours (12-18 months) OTJ experience.
-
We define “experienced or advanced face painter” as a professional face painter with more than 100+ OTJ experience. Someone who feels confident in many situations, and with intermediate to advanced skills
-
This workshop will focus on the Fundamentals of Face Painting, therefore we think that more experienced face painters might find the topics or techniques covered in this workshop to be a little too basic for their level.
However, if we get enough interest, we have set aside some time for another workshop in your area, on an alternative date. Please complete the application form to indicate your preferences
-
Yes, please BYO SMALL face paint kit. Do NOT bring a large suitcase of supplies, it’s not necessary!
A list of equipment will be provided on registration. This will include common colours, sponges and brushes, nothing obscure.
We will have some items available for use, including a small variety of brushes, and water cups etc, however BYO kit is recommended. But not the kitchen sink
-
No models needed. Participants will paint on each other, their arms, legs, and we’ll also supply practice mats.
-
If you’re fully booked for months in advance, earning top dollar, and you don’t have any desire to connect with other face painters or learn new things - then your cup is full and you probably don’t need a workshop. Good for you!

That’s where we can help.
This workshop is for face painters who are keen to learn, who want to connect and network with other local face painters and grow their business.
-
You don’t need to aspire to operate a face painting business to enjoy face painting at home, just for fun
